Scandinavian Day Festival

The 15th Wisconsin (Wayne Blatherwick, Christopher Bryant, Dan Christiansen and Steve Sherry) spent September 11th in South Elgin at the Scandinavian Day Festival.  We were invited down to this event, to demonstrate and explain the life of Scandinavians (Norwegians) in the Civil War.  Color Corporal Christopher Bryant told extensively of the equipment a soldier carried, while Corporal Dan Christiansen played Commissary official, bringing back to camp a huge kringle and plates of Swedish Meatballs and noodles.
