The 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry has been awarded a Wausau School District Friends of Education Award for their work with its freshmen class.  Every spring for a decade, the 8th Wisconsin skirmish team of the ACWSA has made Civil War presentations at Wausau West High School.

They were nominated by Christine Kadonsky and U.S. History I teaching team from Wausau West.  Dick Tessmann, Larry Hicks, Patrick Camus, Arden Graveen, Dick Fritz will be presented with certificates at an upcoming Friends of Education Breakfast.
