On March 12, 2016, Dan Christiansen, Mary Borsic and Steve Sherry ran a display table promoting the ACWSA at the 16th annual Civil War Museum Expo in Kenosha, WI. The Old Soldier Fiddlers performed at noon, giving an hour-long multimedia presentation that combined Civil War stories with a sing-along.
Stephen Sherry of the ACWSA’s 15th Wisconsin Infantry “Norwegian Bear Hunters” passed on these photos of team member Mary Borsic’s trip to Chickamauga battlefield, showing the monuments for the regiment their team is named after.
Pat Kaboskey, Gene Hass, Bill Osborne spent the morning of November 6th doing a live fire training/demo for high school cadets from St. John’s Military Academy. They all were able to shoot 5 different Civil War period weapons.
The first ACWSA nationals will be held at the Chief Wa-Ke’-De range near Bristol, Indiana on June 10 through 12, 2016. Here are photos of the facility recently taken by Paul Lipka.
Saturday, October 10, 2015, Pat Kaboskey and Les Knutsen(1USSS) helped a cancer charity event by bringing their Gatling gun. There were about 200 kids at the event in Ashppipin, WI. Robert in the picture is totally blind, but shot the best group by far out of the 28 shooters. He had a [ » ]
