2025 Vacant Chair Memorial Skirmish – Hosted by 8th WI & 2nd WI Connor Ahrens

The Labor Day weekend once again played host to the Rhinelander Vacant Chair Memorial Skirmish over the cool, yet sunny weekend.  Four units attended, resulting in a small but fun and unique shooting atmosphere.  Many individual shooters competed along with mini mortar golf to compliment the traditional team shooting events. 2025 Appleton Skirmish – Hosted by 66th NC Connor Ahrens

This year’s Appleton skirmish was a one-day event with the weather being superb on Saturday, but leaving much to be desired on Sunday.  Despite the low numbers of skirmishers and the rainy weather for the scheduled second day of action, there was still plenty of lead shot down range.  Results [ » ]

2025 40 Rounds Skirmish – Hosted by 114th IL & 2nd WI Connor Ahrens

This year’s first ACWSA skirmish started off with some interesting weather.  The Lefthanders Gun Club range had all the above from sunshine to hail. Gary Van Kauwenbergh Honored @ WI Veterans Museum Connor Ahrens

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison honored former ACWSA President Gary Van Kauwenbergh by setting up a display in their American Civil War exhibition. Gary Van Kauwenbergh gets special mention for all of his efforts assisting the museum and his donation of a Lorenz musket.

2024 Bristol Skirmish – Hosted by 15th WI Connor Ahrens
